FULL TEXTUAL ANALYSIS .
CINEMATOGRAPHY
under the aspect of cinematography this trailer is very interesting.
just like "paranormal activity" the trailer has shots that are mainly made from a camera carried around. they cannot be properly defined as a specific type of shot.
some of the shots are made by steady cameras but from different angles , often high and low.
there are a number of facial close ups and mid shots showing different body parts.
EDITING
the editing is very limited in this trailer especially if we talk about special effects.
there are just a limited amount of special effect ( e.g the face of the girl at the end) .
different shots are mainly separated by the trailer writings.
night vision is often used and the use of flash in the camera is used as well.
SOUND
the sound is mostly diagetic in the trailer.
there are many screams and speeches of the actors in the movie. there is no voice over (e.g the classic deep voice in most of the trailers)
also in this trailer there are very disturbing sounds not related to the movie but just used to scare the audience.
MISE EN SCENE
the location of the trailer is very interesting and is definitely existing.
the clothes worn by the actors in the movie are casual clothes .
the "ghosts" are wearing whit clothes in order to represent the people living in the building years ago.
some of cuts and injuries the actors have are fake and made with make up .
